Liquid Water Found on Mars - A Step Closer To Life on Mars
NASA researchers using an imager aboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter confirmed the watery flows by looking at light waves returned from seasonal dark streaks on the surface, long suspected to be associated with liquid water. While the discovery doesn't mean that life exists or once existed on the red planet, it might draw humanity a step closer to discovering how life might exist on mars. This isn't the first discovery of water on mars though.

Mars rover Curiosity

Researchers have known for long that water forms on Mars' poles at night, and even the NASA curiosity rover discovered methane gases on the thin surface of Mars last year. There are other chemical signatures suggesting the possibility of past or present life in Mars. But discovering liquid flowing water, no matter how salty, is already a great fit for the Curiosity rover.
