Mikel Obi changes name - See what his new name is

Born John Michael Nchekwube Obinna, the popular Super Eagles and Chelsea defensive midfielder John Mikel Obi has reportedly changed his name. His old name John Mikel Obi was a mistake from the registration process for the 2003 Fifa Under-17 World Championships, when the Nigeria Football Association mistakenly submitted ‘Michael’ as ‘Mikel’ for the tournament in Finland.

Since this name has become popular, the Chelsea midfielder has decided to change his full name to Mikel John Obi, instead of John Michael Nchekwube Obinna.
