In a statement yesterday, MASSOB National Secretary Comrade Ugwuoke Ibem Ugwuoke, accused Shettima that his press interview was aimed at deceiving the people that Ralph Uwazuruike is MASSOB leader who established Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of IPOB.

His words: “MASSOB has a new leader in the person of Comrade Uchenna Madu, former MASSOB National Director of Information. We still wish to correct Yerima Shettima that the so-called Ojukwu memorial lectures he annually attends in Owerri is not a MASSOB programme but that of Uwazuruike led BIM.’’

He said Uwazuruike has lost his respect, honour and prestige, the trust and confidence bestowed on him.
MASSOB therefore, advised Shettima to stop his propaganda of deceit and campaign of calumny against Kanu.
