NYSC Allowance Increases to N30,000 - FG

The National Youth Service Corp of Nigeria allowance has been increased to N30,000 by the Federal Government.

This information was released by the Minster of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, who pointed out that the Federal Government is still working on the modalities before implementaion.

She said, "The other aspects that should be clear is that there is an increase for the NYSC as well because NYSC, by it's Act, is designed that they earn the minimum wage."

"So, NYSC allowance also has to increase to N30,000. So, I cannit give you projections right now because the negotiations are not yet concluded."
