Manchester United have been warned they may be ‘replacing one player who lacks heart with another’ if they sign Mario Lemina to take the place of wantaway star Paul Pogba.

Southampton signed the 25-year-old midfielder from Juventus for £18million two years ago.

While he has shown flashes of his talent, having been highly-rated in Italy, he has been in and out of the team due to a lack of form and injury troubles.

It is claimed Lemina wants to leave the club after he was left out Saints’ squad for their pre-season trip to Austria, and talkSPORT understands the midfielder an agreement with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl that he can go if the right offer comes in.

And Man United are among the clubs interested in the Gabon international, with reports claiming he is being eyed as a possible replacement for Pogba if the World Cup winner joins Juventus or Real Madrid.
