Man Utd Finally Ready To Sign Bruno Fernandes

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and assistant Mike Phelan were in Portugal on Sunday to watch Fernandes in action against Porto.

The 25-year-old was a target for United last summer but the Red Devils were put off by Sporting’s £70m valuation of the playmaker.

However, injuries to Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay have forced Solskjaer back into the market and widely circulated reports on Friday claimed that Sporting’s president was in the UK to open negotiations with United.

The news certainly got former United captain Rio Ferdinand excited, with the 41-year-old taking to Twitter to fuel speculation about Fernandes’ arrival.

And Rui Guimaraes, who is one of two agents that represents Fernandes, fueled speculation that a deal was close by ‘liking’ Ferdinand’s tweet.
