GWR: Sanya, a Nigerian designer, displays the largest sandal in the world that she recently Designed

A British-Nigerian shoe designer, Liz Sanya has flaunted the largest sandal she recently finished designing.

Young and creative fashion designer Liz Sanya has finished her endeavor to set a Guinness World Record for the largest sandal in the world!

Over the course of three days in Lagos, her idea—a gorgeous pink clog that was an astounding 4.8 meters (15 feet 9 inches) long—came to reality. Numerous celebrities and well-wishers, including music artists Mayorkun, Pheelz, P.Priime, and Taves, music entrepreneur Bizzle Osikoya, director Korty, and many more, backed her incredible achievement and applauded her aspirations.

Liz's voyage took a focused 72 hours to finish, starting at 5 p.m. on January 2 and ending on January 4. Liz expressed her love for her work when thinking back on her desire for creativity and perfection, saying:

I’ll never be able to put into words what any of this means to me, I started designing shoes when I was 12 and by 14 I was selling them to fund a ‘habit’ I couldn’t afford. None of this has been possible without the support and compassion of the people who see me and believe in my vision. Ibadan… where I was born. Lagos where I was inspired. It was only right to come back home and prove it. 1 world record to beat, within 72hrs…
