AY Comedian Hits Back at AI Video Controversy with Powerful Statement

In response to a widely shared film purporting to show him kissing May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, Nigerian actor and producer AY Comedian has responded.

The video, which was created artificially, allegedly depicts the two kissing as they fly to the UK for the premiere of AY's movie, The Waiter.

In a social media response to the incident, AY Comedian denounced the dissemination of the deceptive video and encouraged its creators to use their imagination for constructive purposes.

In order to emphasize the perils of false information and cyberbullying, he also brought up the recent online persecution of reality TV personality Alex Unusual, who was similarly suspected of having a romantic involvement with him.

"Dear Online Innovators, as the future leaders and change-makers of Nigeria, I urge you to channel your immense creative talents toward building a better nation instead of tearing each other down," AY Comedian said in a lengthy post.

"Nigeria is full with possibilities, and your special talents—whether in entrepreneurship, technology, music, or the arts—can play a major role in bringing about constructive change. Let's concentrate on encouraging one another rather than using your creativity to disparage people who are making a lot of effort to better their lives and give back to society.
