Nigerian Afrobeats Star Ruger Drops Sophomore Album Blown Boy Ru

Blown Boy Ru, the much awaited sophomore album by Nigerian singer and composer Michael Olayinka, better known by his stage name Ruger, has been published. His expanding repertoire reached a new milestone with the release of the album on Friday.

Ruger and BNXN worked together on a combined album called RnB in 2024. The musician now releases a 13-track album called Blown Boy Ru, which combines dancehall and Afrobeat elements.

The album's varied sound is further enhanced by noteworthy collaborations with Zlatan, Kranium, Tiwa Savage, Valiant, and Haile. Ruger has already piqued fans' interest in the project with two singles, Toma Toma and Jay Jay, prior to its official release.

Ruger further establishes his position in the Nigerian music scene with Blown Boy Ru, demonstrating his distinct sound and development as an artist.
