Dan Okehi Turns 70 with a Literary Bang – Four New Books Released!

As part of activities lined up to celebrate his 70th birthday on May 6, 2025, an insurance icon and role model, Dr. Daniel Okehi will make a public presentation of four books: ‘Heirs of Righteousness’, ‘Realities of God’s Grace’, ‘Jesus, the Game Changer’, and the ‘Transformal and Compelling Leadership’.

Major General Ike Nwachukwu will chair the public presentation, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Muson Centre in Onikan, Lagos.

A special Thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, May 11, 2025, at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), International Headquarters, Anthony Oke, Gbagada, Lagos.
Okehi is a distinguished figure in the Nigerian insurance and financial sector, with over four decades of professional experience.

He graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor of Science in Insurance and a Master of Science in Management. A seasoned leader and lifelong student, Dr. Okehi is a graduate of the Lagos Business School's Chief Executive Programme (CEP5) and a fellow of several esteemed organizations, such as the Enterprise Risk Management Association of Nigeria, the Council of Registered Insurance Brokers of Nigeria, and the Chartered Insurance Institute (London and Nigeria).

In his academic career, Okehi obtained his PhD in Management from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. There, he conducted groundbreaking research on "Modelling Risk Management in Banks: The "Creator of the Brickred Banking Risk Softwares (BBRS)," a cutting-edge technology that is transforming risk management in banking operations, and "Analyzing Why Banks Fail."

Following his prolific output, he has received noteworthy honors, including first place in the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria's inaugural essay competition and authorship of the premier insurance marketing literature.

In addition, he serves on the council of the Enugu State University of Technology Business School (ESUT), where he shares his extensive experience with motivated professionals by giving lectures on risk management.

Leadership in revolutionary projects and consultancy positions that have redesigned Nigerian banking and insurance procedures have distinguished Okehi's career throughout the years.

He has pushed for significant change in financial institutions as a former chairman of Rehoboth Microfinance Bank Limited and consultant to the National Insurance Commission on Energy Insurance.

He was Chairman of Brickred Consult Limited, one of the top consulting firms for oil and gas insurance underwriting, financial risk management, and leadership development.

In addition, he serves as the CEO and managing director of Brickred Insurance Brokers, a global brokerage company with its headquarters in Lagos.

In addition, Okehi advocates for transformational and compelling leadership and organizations and is a committed leadership coach. Over the years, his ideas and actions have motivated experts in a variety of fields.

He is married to Audrey and has children from their union. He serves as a deacon at TREM Headquarters,  in Lagos.
