Discover Ekene Umenwa's Journey: Balancing Faith with Nollywood Stardom

Celebrating the viral gospel song "No Turning Back" by Lawrence Oyor and Gaise Baba, Nollywood actress Ekene Umenwa gave a moving story, stating that the song's message of unwavering faith resonated deeply with Nigeria's Christian community.

Umenwa pondered on her early hardships in the film industry while dancing enthusiastically to the song in an Instagram video. She disclosed that she was under tremendous pressure to sacrifice her Christian values in order to achieve at the start of her career.

She wrote in the post, "I turned to Jesus, and He told me to stay focused and not be distracted."

Umenwa thanked God for her accomplishment and thanked her for remaining steadfast in her faith. She said that a lot of people in the entertainment business now openly express their spiritual beliefs, and she is honored to be a member of the expanding group of creatives who are motivated by their faith.

She wrote as the video's caption: "Some people urged me to drop this, you're Jesus and Mary, and go with the flow so you can make it when I first arrived in Nollywood years ago.

Jesus said, "I'm with you. Go; they'll follow. Just focus and don't turn around; you'll be sidetracked."
