Nigeria's chief of defense staff (CDS), Christopher Musa, has advocated for border wall as a means of enhancing national security.

He pointed out that rising insecurity has forced nations like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to fence their borders with Iraq and Afghanistan, respectively.

Musa emphasized the necessity of completely securing and establishing authority over the nation's borders, pointing out that rebels are targeting Nigeria because of its perceived wealth and wealth-producing natural resources.

"Other countries had to fence their borders due to the level of insecurity they have," he remarked.

Four nations—Niger Republic, Cameroon, Benin, and Chad—share borders with Nigeria; these nations are all currently experiencing varied levels of insecurity.
