Rapper and artist Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, has insisted that his religion does not consider fornication to be sinful.

According to DOROTV, the musician recently caused controversy when he asserted that fornication isn't sinful in a post on X.

The singer's claim was contested by Muslim and Christian followers, who cited a number of passages in their posts.

In a recent interview with Arise TV, Falz addressed the matter by emphasizing that he follows a religion called "love" and that adultery is not sin in his faith.

"I am no longer a Christian," he explained.

"I believe that after reading the tweet, people would simply assume that I meant according to Christianity," he said.

"I wasn't actually talking from that angle. The religion of love is what I follow. I don't believe that fornication is a sin in their faith.

"I looked at it, so I tackled the question directly: Why aren't we permitted to have this premarital sex? What's wrong? Who is offended by it?

"These individuals are not married. These two individuals are not married. voluntarily. In agreement. In my opinion, there isn't a problem there.

"I no longer identify as a Christian. I follow the religion of love.
