Vatican offers homeless mother who gave birth on a piece of cardboard a place to live
Italian police while patrolling an area near St. Peter’s Square found a woman who had given birth on a piece of cardboard around 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to CBS News. Vatican officials offered to house the homeless woman.
The woman received a visit from Monsignor Konrad Krajewski, who carries out Pope Francis’ charity missions. He offered her space at a home owned by the Vatican for mother and babies in need.
