Drake Breaks Billboard Record

His latest project, More Life has debuted at the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with 505k copies moved in the first week but that’s only part of the story.

Drake has become the solo act with most Billboard Hot 100 entries (154), passing his Young Money boss Lil Wayne. Drizzy now has the highest number in the Hot 100’s 58-year history as a solo act and second overall, behind Glee Cast. 

Drizzy has also broken the single-week record for the most charted Hot 100 entries at one time. Drake’s 24 songs on the new April 8-dated list passes his own mark of 20, which he achieved during the week that his last album Views debuted atop the Billboard 200. 

More Life, from the album, was streamed 384.8 million times in its opening week according to Nielsen Music, besting Drake’s previous effort Views which had opened with 245.1 million last year.
