Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone lead American Music Awards nomination

Reuters, New York, April 23 On Wednesday, rapper Kendrick Lamar received a top 10 nominations for the American Music Awards, including nominations for song of the year and artist of the year for his Grammy-winning diss single "Not Like Us."

Drake, a Canadian rapper, has a long-running conflict with Lamar over the song. Drake has sued Universal Music Group for slander over the song's release.

Favorite male country performer and favorite country album were among the eight nominations that Post Malone received for "F-1 Trillion." He has won AMAs in pop/rock and rap/hip hop before.

With seven nominations apiece, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey came next on the list.

This year, Taylor Swift, who has won more American Music Awards than any other artist in her career, was nominated six times.

This year's Grammy winner, "Cowboy Carter," was nominated for both album of the year and favorite country album at the American Music Awards. She is also a contender for the title of favorite female country music performer.

Jennifer Lopez will host a ceremony on May 26 to announce the winners, who will be chosen by fans. The show opens a new tab and will be aired live on CBS (PARA.O).

Performances on the Billboard music charts, album and streaming sales, radio play, and social media interaction were all taken into consideration while making nominations.
