Kizz Daniel releases new EP titled ‘Lemon Chase

Daniel Anidugbe, also known as Kizz Daniel, is a well-known Afrobeats superstar from Nigeria. His latest EP, "Lemon Chase," is anticipated.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu interviewed Mr. Christian Agadibe, the CEO of Artmatazz Media, the superstar's media firm, on Thursday.

Daniel's next album "Uncle K," a highly intimate piece of work that caught everything from love and grief to peace and a good time that every listener could relate to, is more than simply a teaser, according to Agadibe.

He claims that every song on the EP represents a distinct component of that emotional puzzle.

The Afrobeats phenomenon made sure to arouse a variety of emotions with his music, from the EP's opening tune, "Black Girl Magic," to its final track, "Police," which features Johnny Drille of Mavin and five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo.

"Kizz Daniel assembles a strong lineup of well-known artists for the Lemon Chase EP, each contributing their own distinct style," he stated.

"The raw, street-inspired energy of Bella Shmurda, Odumodu Blvck, and Zlatan and Fola, who previously collaborated with Kizz Daniel on the hit singles "Lost," complemented the soulful voices of Johnny Drille and Angelique Kidjo," he continued.

This, Agadibe said, brought emotion and depth that perfectly complement Daniel’s versatility, noting that, “Together, they create a rich, dynamic sound that defines the spirit of the project.

“Production credits include Reward Beatz, Blaise Beatz, Magic Sticks, Bando, and Ayzed who all have previously created chart topping records with the artiste and it is a testament of what’s to be expected from the EP.

“Reward Beatz produced “Eyo” and “Black Girl Magic” alongside Bando and Blaise Beatz, Blaise Beatz led production on “Secure” and “Peace I Chose”.

“Titi” was produced by Magic Sticks and co-produced by Reward Beatz, and Blaise Beatz while “Al Jannah” was shaped by Ayzed’s touch,” he explained.

On the EP, Agadibe quoted Kizz Daniel saying, “when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade out of it.

“I wanted this project to feel like real life; sweet, sour, confusing, beautiful.

"This is heartfelt music to listen to while you're healing, remembering, or hoping." All I wanted was for it to be genuine, honest, and true to who I am.


He went on to say that Daniel keeps developing with "Lemon Chase," not only as a hitmaker but also as a storyteller who isn't scared to approach sensitive subjects.

He stated, "The EP reminds us of the moniker Kizz Daniel would always be famous for and sets the tone for "Uncle K."
