Drake becomes first artist to earn 10 RIAA Diamond certifications

Drake has reached a significant career milestone by being the only artist in history to receive ten Diamond certifications, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The songs "Hold On, We're Going Home" from the Canadian rapper and singer's 2013 album "Nothing Was the Same" and his 2009 breakthrough smash "Best I Ever Had" are the most recent to reach the 10-million-unit sales milestone in the United States.

"@Drake has the most RIAA Diamond Certifications of any artist, ever," the RIAA announced on social media in celebration of the accomplishment. Drake now has 10 Diamond Certifications after "Hold On, We're Going Home" and "Best I Ever Had" were certified RIAA Diamond. @ovosound," along with a picture of his collection of Diamond plaques.

The songs "God's Plan," "One Dance," "Hotline Bling," "Life Is Good" (with Future), "SICKO MODE" (with Travis Scott), "No Guidance" (with Chris Brown), and "Love Me" (with Lil Wayne and Future) are among the select group of previously awarded tracks that these new certifications join.

Rapper Post Malone and country music icon Garth Brooks, both of whom have nine Diamond certifications, are surpassed by Drake's unprecedented total.

Interestingly, Drake is the only performer to get double-digit Diamond certifications for both albums and singles.
