EASY-AV (A Multiple Remote Controlled Audio-Video Project)
This project provides a solution to common problems encountered with most (devices, especially) Televisions that come with single or double AV inputs. Consumers now need more than the ports made available to them, and Television manufacturers have more things to worry about other than filling the sides and back of Televisions with ports.
A Television that comes with a single AV wire input could be made to work automatically with more than one device with the help of this EASY-AV dream machine. A consumer could have a DVD player, Game console, Digital Satellite Television Decoder and various other gadgets plugged together to a single AV Television. The consumer could switch between each with the help of a mini-remote that could be attached to the main Television Remote. This solves a major problem of having to move wires or switch between various devices.
Another plug-in that comes with this is a Bluetooth device or receiver that turns those wires into a neat wireless realm. The receiver is plugged into the Television input AV. This eliminates those wires found below most plasmas hung on the wall of a sitting room. Although some wires are made neater with trunk, the entire wiring could be removed altogether with the Bluetooth plug-in. The Bluetooth could cover the entire perimeter of a room, as long as the distance between the television and the Easy-AV machine is not more than 10 metres. With the help of the Remote control, a consumer could switch between various signal sending devices.
Amongst all these, only the remote control requires extra power which is just a single button cell for size and convenience since it is meant to be attached to a TV remote if needed. The Easy-AV machine is automatically powered whenever an AV wire with signal in connected to the input. The Bluetooth plug-in is powered whenever the Television it is attached to is powered. The Easy-AV machine that switches between these various devices could also be operated without the remote since its light indicators are equipped with touch sensitive sensors. Whenever any light is touched, the colour changes from red to green and that particular input is fed to the television.
