Funke Akindele's film "Everybody Loves Jenifa" reached a historic milestone—earning N1.6 billion at the box office and becoming the highest-grossing film in West Africa's history—actress Funke Akindele shared her intense emotions.

On its official Instagram account, the movie's distributor, Filmone, declared this noteworthy accomplishment, writing, "A hoy gang, we're up! At the box office, Everybody Loves Jenifa has made over 1.6 billion naira! We are incredibly grateful that you showed us this film.

Funke Akindele responded by sharing this exciting news with her followers on her personal Instagram page. The actress, who acknowledged that she was at a loss for words to describe her sentiments, thanked her Creator and her followers.

“Na God do am o!!!!
I am so grateful to you all!!!!
I no know Wetin I go write again!!!”, she wrote.

 

In other news, Adekunle Olopade, a former participant on Big Brother Naija, has apologized for his romantic relationship with Venita Akpofure, a housemate.

The two were romantically involved during the "All Stars" season, however they broke up soon after the show's conclusion.

Adekunle recently stated in a Deks & Friends podcast episode that he regretted he had not pursued a romance while in the house since it did not fit with his goals for appearing on the show.
