Police barricades prevented the granddaughter from entering the location when she returned the next day to see how Dalyce Curry was doing.

After telling her that the property had been destroyed, an officer pointed her in the direction of a local civic center that was providing shelter to displaced residents.

Authorities confirmed on Sunday, January 12, that Curry had died inside her home after the fire after a thorough search turned up no evidence of the popular actress.
