Chaos at Fed University Katsina: Student Protest Shuts Down Campus!

Beginning on February 24, the administration of Katsina State's Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) has scheduled a one-week midterm break.

Following a protest by the students on Sunday, who claimed that one of their coworkers had been shot dead by the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), the school was closed.

The students' demonstration persisted Monday morning, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to reports, the student was shot by JTF members on Sunday on suspicion of being an informant.

In a statement released in Katsina on Monday, FUDMA Vice Chancellor Prof. Armaya'u Bichi announced the Senate's decision to close the institution.

Additionally, Bichi instructed the students to vacate the school by 6:00 p.m. on February 24.

He wished the students a restful and joyful midterm break on behalf of the management.
