Peller Unsettles Many as He Calls Runtown an Upcoming Artist on TikTok Live: "E No Just Get Respect
Runtown Reacts After Peller Sparks Controversy on TikTok Live
Due to his public remarks on a Nigerian artist, Habeeb Hamzat, whose real name is Peller, has generated yet another uproar on the internet.

Speaking on TikTok Live, the well-known streamer discussed who he would like to invite together with another TikToker.

When the woman brought up Runtown, he quickly said no and gave his reasons for not wanting the performer to be on his show.

Peter's continuous mouthing has angered Nigerians once more. The TikToker has made yet another contentious statement after previously expressing regret to Burna Boy's mother for his actions when he met her at a fashion event.

Peller urged a fellow TikToker not to invite non-famous people to his livestream during his TikTok live. She continued by bringing up Runtown, and Peller was ready to characterize the singer as a rising star. Many internet users were offended by his statement and chastised him for treating the musician with such disdain.

"Wetin be Runtown? That one never blow. We no know am. Give me another person. Don’t bring upcoming artists on my live video. Na artistes wey don blow well well I want."

Given that Runtown has long refused to release a hit for his followers, some have also suggested that Peller was not at fault.

For those who are curious, Douglas Jack Agu is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer better known by his stage name, Runtown. His music combines reggae, R&B, hip-hop, and Afrobeats. With the release of his single "Gallardo" featuring Davido in 2014, Runtown first became well-known.

His 2016 hit "Mad Over You" brought him international acclaim. Mr. Eazi, a Nigerian-Bajan musician, remixed the song, which further increased its appeal.
