Content, Fashion and Innovation Shines at African Creators Summit 2025

The second edition of the African Creators Summit, held on the 23rd of January 2025, at the Balmoral Event Centre in Lagos, brought together over 1,500 attendees for insightful conversations and vibrant cultural displays.

The conference, which attracted content producers, thought leaders, and business experts from all over the continent, examined the transformative potential of content creation across industries with the topic "Building a Sustainable Ecosystem: Content as a Tool."
Nedu and Real Warri Pikin hosted the summit, which was sponsored by the Apollo Creators Foundation. Notable attendees included comedian Bovi, President of the Woodhall Capital Foundation, Ayo Adeagbo, SA Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, and President of Nigeria Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu.
Panel talks at the summit included insightful information on developing organized professions, ethical storytelling, and producing sustainable content.
Efenomen Ikhuoria Okoijie, Aproko Doctor, Geena Foodies and Spice, and The Visual Advocate talked about using authenticity as creators to engage audiences and make a statement in one session.

Dr. Foy, Daddy Freeze, Daniel Ikuenobe, and Malik Afegbua discussed the obligation of content creators to create morally sound and considerate content in another session on healthy content creation.
Daniel Ikuenobe urged creators to concentrate on stories that elevate and inspire, saying, "The story of what you are doing is as important as what you are doing."

The commercial side of content was also addressed at the summit, with speakers including Olufemi Oguntamu, Solafunmi Laelle, Nosa Omoregie, and Tobi Alabi stressing the value of structure, analytics, and management.
Olufemi challenged designers to look beyond short-term success and concentrate on creating lasting, significant brands, pointing out that "virality doesn't equate to sustainability."
Fari Elsysia, Ariyike Akinbobola, Nkubi, and Emmanuela spoke on shattering stereotypes and elevating all voices during the last panel discussion on inclusion.
The joint fashion display, which celebrated African talents and craftsmanship, was a major highlight of the summit. Latasha Lagos coordinated this segment, which demonstrated the harmony between fashion and content by displaying top creators dressed by well-known Nigerian designers.
Kiekie was dressed by Moofa Studio in a gorgeous red and black costume, while Brainjotter entered the stage wearing a look by Uche Nnaji. Lasisi Elenu made an impression while wearing traditional red clothing from On Point Clothing NG.
