Fourth missing US soldier found dead in Lithuania
A fourth US Army soldier was discovered dead Tuesday, according to U.S. and Lithuanian officials. The three other soldiers vanished in Lithuania last week when their vehicle fell in a peat bog.
Following the recovery of the four missing troops' armored vehicle in a military training region close to the Belarusian border, DoroTV previously reported that the three other servicemen were discovered dead on Monday.
In a post on X, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda expressed his sympathies to the US authorities.
He stated, "I am deeply saddened to announce the discovery of the body of the fourth U.S. soldier who was training in Lithuania."

President Donald Trump and his administration were praying for all of the victims and their families, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also verified the fourth death when addressing reporters at the White House.
Nauseda also expressed gratitude to everyone who assisted in locating the lone soldier who had gone missing in such difficult circumstances.
As part of an exercise at the Pabrade training site, where US units have been rotating since 2019, it was learned that rescuers had dug for days to recover the M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle the soldiers were using.
Nauseda also expressed gratitude to everyone who assisted in locating the lone soldier who had gone missing in such difficult circumstances.
As part of an exercise at the Pabrade training site, where US units have been rotating since 2019, it was learned that rescuers had dug for days to recover the M88 Hercules armored recovery vehicle the soldiers were using.
