Speaking about the film, Paul-Dike described Oblation as a story that blends psychological horror with African folklore.
“It’s not just about fear; it’s about the things we inherit, the things we refuse to see, and the consequences of ignorance,” she said.
Oblation follows the success of Paul-Dike’s short film Dreams, which aired at over 15 international festivals, including AFRIFF (2023), the Silicon Valley African Film Festival (2024), and the Real-Time International Film Festival UK (2024).
The feature-length version intends to expand on the original story’s ideas and introduce a bigger audience to its frightening plot.
Yemi Adeojo is the director of photography and Eric Kafui Okyerefo is the executive producer of the production.
Oblation's release date has not yet been disclosed. In the upcoming months, further information is anticipated.
