Celebrity Showdown: The Real Story Behind Seyi Law and Macaroni's Dispute
Seyi Law, Macaroni clash over popularity claims, skit credits
On Thursday, well-known comedians Oluwaseyitan Aletile, also known as Seyi Law, and Adebowale Adedayo, well known as Mr. Macaroni, spat over remarks regarding the latter's ascent to prominence.

Referencing a video posted on his X.com profile, Seyi Law asserted that Macaroni pleaded with him for a skit opportunity during his mother's birthday celebration, and that he not only gave him the opportunity but also penned the skit that reportedly made Macaroni famous.

He wrote: "In January 2020, my cousin #toluthejesusbaby brought this young, gifted Nigerian to my mother's birthday after repeatedly disturbing me to meet him. After talking to him, I decided to help him with his craft.

As they say, the rest is history. I created this script for him and then went on to act with him. My generosity allowed several skit creators to use my voice to exclaim, "Yeeee! Yeeeee!!" in their skits without having to pay royalties. "Kundus" to them for their enormous achievement.

Mr. Macaroni, however, disputed the allegations with images of their exchanges.

Macaroni claims that Seyi Law was the one who allegedly slid into his direct message and worked with him to develop the idea for the skit.

You shouldn't be harming yourself, Ehya Uncle Seyi, he wrote. It pains me to have to address some of these needless lies in my response to you, and I am ashamed that you are acting in this manner.

First of all, I never requested that your cousin get in touch with you on my behalf. When you contacted me in December 2019 to share that you had an idea that would succeed if we collaborated, how could he have persuaded me to seek your help in 2020?

"Keep in mind that you reached out with the concept since I was already a viral sensation at this point, with the daddy wa posts having about 100,000 followers.

"It was a huge deal for me to work with you on that content, and I showed you love and respect in return when you asked me to help you promote your show," he continued.
