Why I moved out of my parents’ house at 16 – Singer, Ayo Maff
Nigerian musician Ayo Maff revealed that at the age of sixteen, he moved out of his parents' home in the Shomolu neighborhood of Lagos.

This was spoken by Ayo Maff as he recalled his modest upbringing.

The 19-year-old up-and-coming artist gave his reasons for leaving the house, saying that it was "because I wanted more for my family."

In his most recent interview with Hip TV, the singer clarified, "Being the eldest kid in my family, I left home at the age of sixteen since life was difficult there.

"Life in Shomolu is challenging, enjoyable, and thrilling. I wouldn't have had the opportunity to sing about them if I didn't live in Shomolu. I wouldn't have had a true perspective on the life that molded me.

I had to go out and make it for these individuals (his family) after taking a look around. I simply depart to spend a year and a few months with my pal. When I was leaving, my mother was worried, but I reassured her that I would be stopping by to see how they were doing.
