Amid the viral video, Asake took to social media seemingly addressing the situation through a song.
Despite his kindness, the singer said his father was trying to control him. He reportedly broke up with Olamide's YBNL record business.
He said, "You can't please the world," while singing in Yoruba. Do whatever you do for God, and never forget that you will meet your God when you die. Can you see, my people? My father is also trying to persuade me. I used to work with a single mindset when pressing money for him. Nobody is able to put out my fire. I am moving forward in life because of God.
Since then, fans and social media users have had conflicting opinions about Asake's response.
