Ebenezer Obey Shuts Down Death Rumors: 'I’m Alive

Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, a legendary musician, has denied death rumors, stating that he is still alive, robust, and in good condition.

Obey-Fabiyi vigorously denied the allegation in a video released Tuesday morning.

He sang in Pidgin, English, and Yoruba, calling the news untrue.

Obey-Fabiyi sang, "Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi," in the music video.

"It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory," the renowned artist continued. It is a lie. That is not what Jesus wrote, yet I am living.

His supporters sent heartfelt tributes after the death rumor went viral on Monday.

But in a Monday night interview with TVC, his personal assistant Tope Olukole quickly refuted the allegation.

The audience was reassured by Olukole that the music icon was doing well.

"To correct the record, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi is still alive and well! The spouse of his second child recently celebrated his 50th birthday, which was a happy occasion, Olukole stated.

The rumors that he passed away are completely untrue and incorrect. We're happy to see him healthy and active," he continued.

Just one month had passed since Obey-Fabiyi's 83rd birthday when the death fake occurred.
