Davido breaks down in tears as manager gets married

During his impassioned speech at his manager Asa Asika's wedding, Nigerian afrobeat singer Davido broke down in tears.

Although there was a time when the two men had a falling out, Asa has been with Davido since the beginning of his career.

As he spoke at the traditional wedding on Saturday, the OBO crooner was seen wiping his eyes in a video that went viral on social media.

Asa, today broke me in the most exquisite way, Davido wrote on X earlier in the day.

"I couldn't contain my emotions when I saw you standing next to Leona, love in your heart and tranquility in your eyes. Not only because of the guy you've grown into, but also because of the way you came to be him. We were not given anything. Through faith, fire, and an unbreakable link, we created this.

"Thank you, Leona," he continued. Because you loved him the way we all wanted to be loved. You became the journey's purpose rather than merely joining it. He was brought home to himself by you. I pledge, as long as I breathe, I’ll preserve what you two have established.

"This wedding is about more than simply love. It is a legacy. It is evidence that we are capable of rising without losing our souls. That brotherhood is resilient. You can preserve that culture rather than merely wear it.

"Asa, we didn't just make it. We made it our way. And I feel something that no trophy can offer me as I stand beside you now.
