Iyanya reacts to accusation of picking side in Wizkid, Davido’s beef

Iyanya, an Afrobeats singer, has responded to claims that he is taking sides in the feud between his coworkers Davido and Wizkid.

According to DoroTV, last year's nasty social media altercations between Wizkid and Davido rekindled their long-standing feud.

Having previously worked with Wizkid on his popular song "Sexy Mama," Iyanya has since been accused of betraying the Starboy boss after he publicly endorsed Davido's music.

An X user named @Akubasteeny repeated the charge on Wednesday, writing beneath one of the singer's posts, "I thought Wiz was your friend." I simply want to know why you changed sides and became Davido's kid.

In response, Iyanya emphasized that he supports Wizkid in the same manner that he supports other artists and clarified that he has no problems with any of their coworkers.

He claimed that the fans were setting up competitions between musicians.

"I don't have a problem with any artists," he wrote. I performed Wizkid's "Made in Lagos" and "Morayo," just like I do with all of the other artists' songs. The majority of artists will not admit this, yet when other artists release their work, they are the first to listen to it. It is our responsibility to understand the game's sound and other aspects.

Because @ubifranklin1 enjoys listening to a lot of up-and-coming musicians and always introduces me to their sounds, I was playing Fola's tracks before he had a hit.
