James Bond: "Idris Elba too street to play 007," then apologises

James Bond author, Anthony Horowitz, said Idris Elba is too street to play 007, killing all hopes of getting a Black James Bond anytime soon. However, he apologised for his comments. but read the comments first before the apology.

“For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond." he said while doing promotional interviews for his new James Bond novel, Trigger Mortis. Horowitz went on to explain his reservations about Elba: "Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”
