Gov Ortom’s Economic Adviser Assasinated

Dr Adyorough was killed by the gunmen who invaded his residence at BIPC quarters Nyiman Layout at about 12.30am  yesterday.

He was shot alongside his wife, who is currently on admission  at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital.

Reacting to the incident ,Governor Samuel Ortom described the killing as unacceptable and condemnable.

Confirming  the murder to a LEADERSHIP reporter the Benue State  police public relations officer, Moses Yamu told the reporter that the  command  received information in the early hours of Sunday   that a yet to be identified gunmen shot Dr Tavershima Adyorough and his wife at their residence in BIPC Quarters Nyiman, Makurdi.

According to Yamu, the police on arrival rushed the couple to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH)where the man was confirmed dead and the wife is currently receiving treatment .

He stated that five expended cartridges were also recovered from the the scene of the crime.

Meanwhile, the governor of the state has sympathised  with the immediate family of the deceased, the government and people of the state on the loss and pledged that he would support security agencies in apprehending the culprits.
