Eid-el-Kabir: Police deploy 4,000 personnel in Nasarawa State

DSP Kennedy Idirisu, spokesman of the command, told newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia that the deployment was part of the operational order from the police headquarters.

Idirisu said the deployment include plain-cloth intelligence officers for surveillance and intelligence gathering.

According to him, officers will also be drafted to all Eid praying grounds and recreational centres across the state.

He urged Muslim faithful to cooperate with the officers on ground in order to safeguard their lives.

Idirisu assured all citizens of adequate protection by the police and urged them to be vigilant during and after the festive period.

He also released : 08108795930, 08112692680 and 08123821571 as emergency cell phone numbers to the public to call for immediate response when in distress.
