Foreign Affairs Minister Tuggar and Chinese FM Wang Yi meet in Abuja.
The meeting, aimed at improving bilateral relations between Nigeria and China, would also promote cooperation in critical areas.
The summit, which aims to boost bilateral relations between Nigeria and China, will also promote collaboration in critical areas such as commerce and investment, health, technology, and infrastructure development.
Wang Yi, China's Foreign Affairs Minister, will visit in Nigeria on January 8, 2025.
Tuggar, in his introductory remarks, pledged Nigeria's commitment to strengthening their bilateral partnership.

He recalled President Tinubu's visit to China in September 2024, during which four Memoranda of Understanding were signed, and reaffirmed his commitment to the deal, which he described as being implemented at various levels.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Foreign Minister stated that his first African tour of the year is to continue discussions initiated at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit last year, demonstrating China's commitment to strengthening its partnership with Nigeria.

The Chinese minister arrived in Nigeria on Wednesday around 7:15 p.m. local time, where he was greeted warmly by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, and other top government officials, including the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Yu Dunhai.
