Uncovering the Truth: Why Mohbad’s Brother Denies Knowing the Cause
Adura Aloba, the brother of late Nigerian musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has disputed claims made against him by Nigerian actor Yomi Fabiyi, stating that he knows what caused his brother's death.
According to a report posted on the Cablelifestyle X account on Friday, Adura was reacting to a recent press conference in which Fabiyi accused him of knowing the cause of Mohbad's death and had asked for money to publish a video corroborating his allegation.

Adura stated, "Firstly, I don't have anything to say. This is already in court. So I don't need to say much. I can't know about my brother's death and remain silent all these days. I'm really surprised now. This video is from roughly three years ago. And I did not make the video; it was done by Moh himself on the phone I sold to Damola, and the video was saved on that phone.
"I was the one who chatted with Mr Yomi. I'd attempted to make him understand. You were invited, and they told you who was speaking with you, but you persisted on using TikTok live. I witnessed everything on TikTok live.

"Mohbad recorded the video on his phone over three years ago..." Around a week after I sold the phone to Damola, I began to see his messages with Mr Yomi. That is how it all happened. Mr Yomi is trying to damage my reputation by claiming that I did it."
The late singer's mother reportedly argued with Mr Yomi over Mohbad's cause of death.
Recall that Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, and was buried the next day. However, on September 21, 2023, authorities exhumed his remains for an autopsy.
According to the actor, Adura messaged him on Instagram, suggesting he had proof that could help determine the reason of Mohbad's death.
Fabiyi claimed that Adura demanded N3 million to publish the video, which purportedly showed Mohbad's wife Wunmi throwing the singer down the stairs after an incident.
