Why Dangote's Refinery is Being Called the 'Eighth Wonder' of the World
Otedola hails Dangote refinery as ‘eighth wonder,’ lauds Tinubu’s vision
Following President Bola Tinubu's tour of the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, Nigerian entrepreneur Femi Otedola wrote on social media that the facility is the "eighth wonder of the modern era."

Recall that Tinubu called the $20 billion refinery and petrochemical facility owned by Aliko Dangote a "massive investment and point of reference" during his visit on Thursday.

On Friday, Otedola posted on X (previously Twitter) to show his appreciation for the initiative and its leadership.

"Today, I witnessed history," he wrote. Our visionary leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, paid a visit to the $20 billion Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, which was constructed by my brother and close friend Aliko Dangote and is the world's largest single-train refinery. It is considered the eighth wonder of the modern period.

Reiterating his support for the president's vision and leadership, Otedola also praised Tinubu for commissioning the Deep Sea Port Access Road in the Lekki area.

Eleko Junction, a crucial piece of infrastructure in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, is reached by the road from the Dangote Fertilizer Plant.

He went on, "More than twenty years ago, while he was the governor of Lagos State, President Tinubu had an idea for an economic powerhouse on the Atlantic coast, which is today known as the Lekki Free Trade Zone. That vision now rises tall in ambition, steel, and concrete.

"A strong leader leads others to where they should go but may not want to go. That is what President Tinubu is all about.

Otedola emphasized the significance of supporting the administration's continuing reforms and voiced confidence for Nigeria's future.

Nigeria is rising, and those of us who believe in her will keep pushing for the daring reforms that will make her the biggest transformation story of the twenty-first century, according to Otedola.
