Rivers Politics: Fubara's Bold Move to Embolden PDP’s Youth Leaders
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the “soul of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state”.

During a courtesy visit to Government House on Sunday, Governor Fubara made this statement to members of the PDP Youth Leaders Forum.
In order to guarantee the party's continuous strength and relevance, the governor underlined the importance of loyalty, solidarity, and perseverance.
"We are doing all within our power as a state to preserve the party's genuine essence. You realize that we are the genuine PDP and will always be so when I claim that we are the actual soul. We are making every effort to ensure our strength.

He explained that some actions may have been misinterpreted, but they were required to maintain good administration, and he acknowledged the difficulties within the party.
"Desperate situations call for desperate measures, but there have been times when our loyalty has been called into question."
Therefore, it is possible that some of the actions we have taken to maintain good governance have been misunderstood. That does not, however, imply that we are not PDP. We have to make sure that our government continues to advance.
The governor emphasized the significance of maintaining Nigeria's stability and called for coordinated efforts to resolve internal party conflicts and advance national unity.
