Tanzanian govt did not sponsor my daughter’s wedding, Iyabo Ojo slams Kimambi
Tanzanian media star Mange Kimambi has come under fire from actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo for giving her daughter Priscilla Ojo and husband Juma Jux advise.

Kimambi had requested that Priscilla wait until Tanzania's elections were completed before sharing romantic images and videos on social media.

On Instagram, Iyabo voiced her disgust, criticizing Mange for her effort to threaten her daughter and for having the gall to do so.

She emphasized that Priscilla would not be dictated to and that, as a parent, she has trained her to be self-assured and genuine.

Additionally, Iyabo confirmed that reports that the government was paying for their wedding were untrue, stating that the wife's family paid for the costs in accordance with traditional custom.

She affirmed her protective stance over Priscilla, stating that her daughter would post whatever she likes, whenever she likes.

Iyabo chastised Mange for going too far, pointing out that their locations differed and casting doubt on Mange's ability to counsel her daughter and son-in-law.

On Instagram, she posted: "@mangekimambi80 I'm horrified at your foolishness! It's wrong to call my daughter and her husband stup?d, make such a reference to them, and attempt to instill fear and intimidation. I've trained her to be self-assured and genuine as a parent. I don't joke with my daughter, but the Mkambala are quite calm.

Regarding the wedding rumors, my family has a cultural custom of getting married, thus it's not your government that provided the funding. Costs are covered by the wife's family. We Nigerians gave my daughter a lavish wedding because I wanted her to have one.

As an activist, I uphold my values and defend my beliefs without disparaging or single-handedly attacking others. It takes bravery and presence to be a true leader. The idea that you, an American, can dictate to my daughter and her husband, who are living in Tanzania, is absurd.

"My daughter should not be involved in your affairs." When, how, and what she likes will be posted by her. You don't have to adore her. She is adored and cherished, and we guard our own. Remember that always.
