To achieve, you have to dream first – Wizkid

Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, is a Grammy-winning Nigerian artist who has offered his insights on what it takes to succeed.

The 34-year-old singer claims that having a clear vision is one of the most important prerequisites for success.

At Friday's Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where his documentary Wizkid: Long Live Lagos debuted, the Starboy CEO told NBC 4 that anyone who wants to succeed must first envision it.

"Did you always know that you would make it to this point?" the interviewer questioned. Before the vision occurred, did you see it?

“Yeah, absolutely, man,” Wizkid said. Before you can attain anything, you must dream it. Thus, [I have] always [knew] that I would succeed.

The hitmaker of "Essence" counseled young people who wanted to succeed to be loyal to themselves, put in a lot of effort, and maintain their faith in God.

The occasion was also used by Wizkid and his partner, Jada Pollock, to introduce their daughter, Morayo, to the public.
As he posed for photos with Jada and other members of his crew, the musician was spotted holding his daughter.
