Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ hits one billion streams on Spotify

Grammy-winning musician Wizkid has achieved one billion streams on Spotify with his fourth album, “Made in Lagos”.

The album, which was released in October 2020, has been a big success because to his worldwide hit song "Essence," which has had over 400 million listens.

With cameos from well-known musicians like Burna Boy, H.E.R., Tems, and Justin Bieber, the album showcases a deep blend of Pop, Afrobeats, and R&B.

Wizkid has received numerous accolades and certifications as a result of the success of "Made in Lagos."

With this accomplishment, Wizkid joins a select club of Nigerian musicians, like as Rema, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and Omah Lay, whose albums have received over one billion Spotify plays.

He has continued to release successful projects, including “More Love, Less Ego,” “Soundman Vol 2” EP, and his 6th album “Morayo”.
