Okun, Okura, and Confluence (Kogi); Benue Ala and Apa (Benue); FCT State; Amana (Adamawa); Katagum (Bauchi); Savannah (Borno); and Muri (Taraba) are some of the states that have been suggested.
Others are Orlu and Aba (South East); Etiti and Orashi (South East); Adada (Enugu); Kainji (Kebbi); Tiga and Ari (Kano); and New Kaduna and Gujarat (Kaduna).
Ogoja (Cross River), Warri (Delta), Ori and Obolo (Rivers), Torumbe (Ondo), Ibadan (Oyo), Lagoon (Lagos), Ogun and Ijebu (Ogun), and Oke Ogun/Ijesha (Oyo/Ogun/Osun) are included in further plans.
"The National Assembly receives the House of Representatives, the House of Assembly, and the Local Government Council with regard to the area," the letter said. The only reminder given to local government advocates for the establishment of new local government areas is that this procedure is governed by Section 8 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria's Constitution, as amended.
In particular, the results of the referendum's State Houses of Assembly votes must be sent to the National Assembly in order to fulfill state demands, as stipulated in Section 8.3 of the Constitution.
Resubmitted proposals must strictly adhere to the requirements. In Room H331, House of Representatives, White House, National Assembly Complex, Abuja, deliver three hard copies of the memoranda's complete proposal to the Committee Secretariat. Additionally, electronic subcopies must be provided to info.hccr.gov.nj, the Committee's email address.
