A chieftain of the Labour Party, Kenneth Okonkwo, on Friday, said he is not a member of the party under Julius Abure’s leadership.
He acknowledged that he is still a member of the LP when he made this statement on Channels Television's Sunrise Daily.
"As of right now, if Abure is the Chairman, I've already left," he declared.
The actor-turned-politician declared his exit from the LP in July 2024.
Former Labour Party presidential campaign council spokesman Okonkwo also broke up relations with Peter Obi, the party's previous presidential candidate.
Nevertheless, Okonkwo clarified his resignation during the show and insisted that he is still an LP member.
He cautioned that he disagreed with Abure's LP leadership.

"I belong to the Labour Party, but not to Julius Abure's faction. It's automatic if Abure can wangle himself into the position of National Chairman," he said.
Because Abure and Esther Nenadi Usman, members of the party's Caretaker Committee, have been vying for the LP's leadership, the Labour Party has been in a crisis.
Abure's leadership was previously declared invalid by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which claimed that the national convention had broken the Electoral Act and the Constitution.
After Abia State Governor Alex Otti called a party stakeholders conference in Umuahia on September 4, 2024, the party was obliged to name Usman, a former senator representing Kaduna South, Esther Usman, as the chair of its 29-member caretaker committee.
