Jay-Z, Diddy Accuser Drops Sexual Assault Lawsuit

In December of 2000, Jay-Z, whose actual name is Shawn Carter, was charged of raping the girl with Combs during a party after the MTV Video Music Awards.

The accuser "hereby gives notice that the above-captioned action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice," according to the filing with the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. This means that the suit cannot be refiled.

Whether or whether the stars had made a deal with the unnamed woman was not immediately apparent.

However, Jay-Z, a 55-year-old billionaire, praised the case's conclusion, calling it "frivolous, fictitious, and appalling."

"This legal lawsuit had no merit and would never be resolved. If not for the gravity of the allegations, the made-up story they came up with was absurd," he stated in a statement.

"I wouldn't want anyone to go through this. It is impossible to ignore the anguish my wife, kids, loved ones, and I have experienced.

According to the complaint, Combs and Carter, who is married to music sensation Beyonce, alternately attacked the plaintiff as another famous person looked on.

It continued by saying that "many others attended the after party but did nothing to stop the assault."

"Carter was with Combs during a number of the incidents detailed here. Justice must be served to both of the offenders.

Combs, 55, is also facing separate charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. According to federal authorities, he used violence and intimidation to force women into drug-fueled sex parties and sexually assaulted them.

His criminal trial is currently scheduled to start on May 5 and he has denied all charges.
