Heart-Stopping Video: Delta Flight's Drastic Crash Landing at Toronto Airport
According to fresh footage released Tuesday, the passenger jet that crashed in Toronto seemed to strike the runway forcefully before exploding in flames and toppling over.

The Delta Air Lines aircraft skidded to a stop on its roof, engulfing the area in dense plumes of black smoke and a fire ball, yet none of the 80 people on board were killed.

A kid, a guy in his 60s, and a lady in her 40s were among the three critically injured, paramedic services told AFP on Monday.

After taking off from Minneapolis in the US state of Minnesota, the aircraft carrying 76 passengers and four crew members was landing in Canada's biggest city in the afternoon.

The airport's fire chief, Todd Aitken, stated late Monday that it was too soon to say what caused the collision.

It is crucial that we refrain from speculating. We can say that there were no crosswinds and the runway was dry," he said at a press briefing.

Taken from the cockpit of another airliner waiting on the tarmac, the video was shared on social media and confirmed by AFP.

It captured the instant the Delta aircraft touched down.

In the profanity-filled footage, the pilot can be heard shouting, "Oh no no no no no no."

The plane smacked into the ground, bounced, and went forward in a roll to the right, its wings ripped off, and it came to a stop on its back after what appeared to be a routine landing.

As soon as the fuselage hits the ground, flames and billowing black smoke are observed escaping from it.

Rescue personnel rushed to the scene and doused the jet with water, causing its underside to become charred and scratched.

Deborah Flint, chief executive of the Toronto Airport Authority, stated that no other aircraft were involved in the incident.

On Sunday, a huge snowstorm struck eastern Canada. Airlines added flights Monday to compensate for weekend cancellations due to the storm, but the city of Toronto was still experiencing bone-chilling cold and strong winds.
