Rema Addresses Rumors: The Truth Behind the Illuminati Speculation

Divine Ikubor, better known online as Rema, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer who has discussed the impact of several rumors that have been circulating about him.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Mavin Records artist responded to the rumors.
Rema said the rumors about him being a member of the Illuminati, worshiping the devil, and even consuming blood were unfounded.
He went on to say that his fan base had been impacted by these baseless allegations because some of them thought the rumors were real.
Rema bemoaned the loss of his fan base as a result of the "random stories" that were made up about him, which some admirers naively accepted after just seeing them online.

People have created up stories about my being part of the Illuminati, worshiping the devil, and consuming blood, he stated. Some of my fans who blindly believe everything they see are definitely gone.
Rema opened up about the sentimental significance he attaches to the pendants he wears.
In addition to reminding him of his modest origins and keeping him centered in the middle of the craziness of celebrity, he said that the accessories are a memorial to his late father and brother.
"I wear this chain all the time, mostly because I don't want to forget that dark moment that changed my life." He remarked, "I always remind myself, 'Know the struggles you came from,' because, for real, people be forgetting," whenever there is madness or wonderful crap going on.

He said: “A lot of people are giving up in Nigeria. A lot of people are angry at Nigeria. But I keep hope. There’s not a lot of people who would carry Afrobeats like this so much, carry culture.
"It makes me look like a blabber. It makes me look like I talk too much, or care too much, or I’m trying to be a f**ing messiah. I don’t want to do much. I just want to do what I need to do.”
