Nigeria beats Jamaica 5-4 on penalties to win Unity Cup

Nigeria's Super Eagles won the Unity Cup on Saturday after defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties.

Both teams fought to a 2-2 draw, with goals from Moses Simona and Samuel Chukwueze in each half, forcing a penalty shootout.

The 2025 Unity Cup was a colorful festival of football and cultural history that took place at London's Brentford Community Stadium from May 27 to May 31.

Four teams competed in the tournament: Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Ghana, and Nigeria. It was planned to promote pride and solidarity among London's African and Caribbean diasporas.

This year's event was especially significant because it was the tournament's first time back since 2004, highlighting its value in fostering intercultural understanding and communal harmony.
