4 Kenyan Drug trafficker Arrested, links to a syndicate in the US

4 Kenyan citizens suspected of Drug trafficking were arrested in Kenya's Indian Ocean port of Mombasa.

An investigator attached to Kenya's anti-narcotics unit, Hamisi Masha, told a court hearing that the four suspects had been linked to 98 packets of heroin seized in the capital Nairobi, and that they were also wanted by U.S. authorities.

It was later reported that 2 of the suspects were from India, and the other 2 from Kenya.

Kenya has been a key route for drug trafficking due to its porous borders. These drugs are said to originate from Pakistan.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Kenyan police were jointly investigating a trans-national drug syndicate operating between Kenya and the United States.
