Decency Test in Nigerian Politics: New Kano State Aspirant

The New Kano State Gubernatorial Aspirant is finally ready to run under the APC, but is APC going to let the person with such records run under its umbrella? The Decency test is now coming into Nigerian Politics, just shortly after the lawmakers showed us that they are better than Nollywood, and even Hollywood.

You can remember the man shown climbing a gate from the House of Respresentative's complex when it was locked by the Police. The breakdown of law and order by the lawmakers - anyway, they are the law; maybe they are. Hon. Kawu Sumaila was at the forefront in the video that appeared online.

Journalists and opponents are likely to bring his attitude to limelight if the APC does nothing to stop him from ruining their "standard" of coming to restore order in Nigeria. As Linda Ikeji stated it today,

"Hon. Kawu Sumaila, one of the lawmakers who jumped the fence and fought for House of Reps speaker, Aminu Tambuwal to get into the chamber last week, is seeking to be the Governor of Kano state come 2015."

This is a real test in Nigerian Politics. Nigerians are watching and waiting to see if this one will just pass by.
